Your new company
I am recruiting exclusively for a long-standing institution that provides vital services to the local community. As part of a digital transformation programme they are looking to increase their in-house development team and move from 2 to 4 resources, with further growth planned on completion of project work.
The head office is centrally located in Farnborough with good rail links to Hampshire/Surrey and the South, and the role can be worked remotely for the right candidate (office trips required 1-2 days per month).
This role will be worked on a Fixed Term basis, completing in March 2022, with the intention to then move to a permanent position, or to offer a similar Fixed Term agreement.
Your new role
The mandate is clear; revolutionise the customer experience by overhauling their technology. The pipeline of work is busy and almost exclusively greenfield, creating online services that essentially makes life easier for those interacting with them (Public Safety, Environment Health, Elections to name a few).
We're seeking a Back End or Full Stack Developer with commercial experience in a Microsoft environment and a hunger to continue learning. Part of a small team you'll play a key part in influencing the approach to work and can suggest technologies that will suit the project. It's a perfect opportunity for someone looking for a high degree of responsibility as a mid-level developer, with intentions to move towards Senior / Architect level later in their career.
What you'll need to succeed
The wider technical stack encompasses TFS, Jenkins, XML, Rest, SOAP and they run Agile so an understanding of these principles will serve you well.
